Preparing for Your First Session
Everything you need to know before your first remote hypnotherapy appointment.
Before the day
You will receive a Zoom link and the client disclosure statement to read and sign. Signing before the session keeps the full appointment available for the work itself.
Write down one sentence describing what you want to be different. It does not need to be polished — it needs to be honest.
Setting up your space
Choose somewhere private where you will not be interrupted for the length of the session. A comfortable chair or a supported reclined position both work well; lying flat in bed tends to invite sleep rather than focus.
Use headphones if you have them, silence notifications, and have water nearby. A stable internet connection matters more than a good camera.
During and after
You do not need to try to be hypnotized. Following the practitioner's voice is enough. If your mind wanders, that is normal and not a failure.
Afterward, give yourself a few unhurried minutes before returning to a task. Many people feel calm and slightly slowed for a short while.
Ready to Talk with Someone?
Sessions are held online over Zoom, and every first session includes a complimentary 30-minute intake interview as part of the session.
