Hypnotherapy for Chronic pain

Hypnotherapy for chronic pain management, alongside your medical care.

How We See It

Pain is produced by the nervous system, not merely reported by it. That is why the same tissue state can hurt differently depending on stress, sleep, attention and fear — and it is the opening hypnosis works through.

We do not treat the underlying condition. We work on how much of your day the pain is allowed to take.

What People Usually Describe

  • Pain intensity varies with stress and sleep
  • Anticipating pain makes it worse
  • Your world has narrowed around avoiding flare-ups
  • You have been told to learn to live with it and given no method

How We Make the Change

Anchoring

Attaching a calm, resourceful state to a physical cue you can use in the moment you need it.

A comfort and control response is conditioned that you can use during a flare.

Reframing

Changing the meaning attached to an event or urge so the same facts stop producing the same reaction.

The sensation is reframed so the fear component, which amplifies it, comes down.

Parts Therapy

A structured conversation in trance with the specific part of you that carries the symptom, so it can update what it is doing.

The protective bracing that maintains the cycle is addressed directly.

Future Pacing

Rehearsing the new response in the exact situations where the old one used to run.

Difficult times of day and specific activities are rehearsed with the new response.

Common Questions

Will this cure my condition?

No. It targets the experience and impact of pain, which is a real and worthwhile change.

Do I get something to use at home?

Yes, usually a recording.

Work on This with Us

Sessions are held online over Zoom, run 45–90 minutes, and are billed at a flat $200. Your first session includes an additional 30-minute intake interview at no charge.

Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for licensed medical or mental health treatment. IBPH practitioners do not diagnose conditions or prescribe medication, and we work alongside your care team.
