Hypnotherapy for Codependency

Hypnotherapy for codependency — separating care from self-erasure.

How We See It

Codependent patterns usually begin as competence: someone had to read the room, keep the peace and manage other people's feelings, and a child got very good at it.

The skill remains valuable. What we change is the compulsion — the inability to be well while someone else is not.

What People Usually Describe

  • You know what everyone needs and not what you want
  • Saying no produces physical guilt
  • You are drawn to people who need managing
  • Your mood is set by someone else's mood

How We Make the Change

Parts Therapy

A structured conversation in trance with the specific part of you that carries the symptom, so it can update what it is doing.

The caretaker part is thanked, dated to when it was necessary, and relieved of the parts of the job that are not yours.

Values Alignment

Lining the desired change up with what you already care about most, so willpower stops being the fuel.

Boundaries are built from your values rather than from what will avoid a reaction.

Reframing

Changing the meaning attached to an event or urge so the same facts stop producing the same reaction.

Guilt is reframed as a signal about an old rule instead of proof of wrongdoing.

Future Pacing

Rehearsing the new response in the exact situations where the old one used to run.

The exact conversations you avoid are rehearsed, including the other person's likely response.

Common Questions

Will this make me cold?

No. Clients usually report caring the same and resenting far less.

What if my situation cannot change?

We work on your part of it, which is often enough to change the rest.
