Hypnotherapy for Chronic Weight Issues

Hypnotherapy for long-term weight struggles — working on behavior and self-image, not calories.

How We See It

People who have lost and regained weight repeatedly do not lack knowledge or discipline. Something in the pattern is doing a job — protection, comfort, invisibility, permission — and it reasserts itself once the diet ends.

We work on that job and on the self-image the body keeps returning to, which is often the real thermostat.

What People Usually Describe

  • You have lost significant weight more than once and regained it
  • The regain begins at a predictable point
  • Your self-image did not change when your body did
  • Food is tangled up with control or with reward

How We Make the Change

Values Alignment

Lining the desired change up with what you already care about most, so willpower stops being the fuel.

Health behaviors are attached to what you already care about instead of to appearance.

Parts Negotiation

Sitting down with the part of you that wants the change and the part that keeps protecting the old behavior, and getting them to agree on terms.

The protective function of the pattern is identified and re-housed.

Modeling

Identifying how someone who already does this well does it, and installing that structure in you.

The structure of people who maintain effortlessly is installed rather than imitated.

Future Pacing

Rehearsing the new response in the exact situations where the old one used to run.

The point where regain usually starts is rehearsed in advance.

Common Questions

Do you guarantee weight loss?

No, and anyone who does is not being straight with you. We work on behavior and self-image.

Can this work with a medical weight program?

Yes, and it is a good pairing.
