Hypnotherapy for Alcohol

Hypnotherapy support for changing your relationship with alcohol, alongside medical care.

How We See It

Drinking is rarely about liking the taste. It is about the twenty minutes after the first drink — the drop in vigilance, the quieting, the permission to stop performing.

We look for what alcohol is doing for you and build a route to the same result that does not cost you the next morning.

What People Usually Describe

  • The first drink is a decision and the rest are not
  • Drinking is attached to a time of day rather than to an occasion
  • You can stop for a while but the reasons for starting again never changed
  • Sleep, mood, or work have started to move around your drinking

How We Make the Change

Arrow Technique

A direct, layer-by-layer descent from the surface complaint to the original decision underneath it.

We follow the thread from the urge down to the feeling it is answering and the decision underneath it.

Parts Negotiation

Sitting down with the part of you that wants the change and the part that keeps protecting the old behavior, and getting them to agree on terms.

The part that pours and the part that wants to stop are brought to actual terms rather than nightly conflict.

Values Alignment

Lining the desired change up with what you already care about most, so willpower stops being the fuel.

Sobriety is connected to the relationships and roles you already rank highest.

Future Pacing

Rehearsing the new response in the exact situations where the old one used to run.

Weddings, Fridays, hotel rooms and hard days are rehearsed in advance with the new response in place.

Common Questions

Do I have to commit to total abstinence?

Your goal is yours to set. We will be honest with you about what your pattern suggests and refer you on when medical care is the right first step.

Is this a replacement for a recovery program?

No. It works well alongside one.
