Hypnotherapy for Gambling

Hypnotherapy for gambling urges — interrupting the loop that lives in anticipation, not in winning.

How We See It

The pull of gambling sits in the moment before the result, not in the result. That anticipation is a state the nervous system learns to seek, and it survives losing perfectly well.

We work on the anticipation loop directly, and on whatever the chase is standing in for — escape, restitution, or the feeling of being about to be fine.

What People Usually Describe

  • The urge is strongest after a loss, not a win
  • You gamble to fix what gambling caused
  • The relief is in placing the bet rather than in the outcome
  • You hide the amount, the frequency, or both

How We Make the Change

Parts Negotiation

Sitting down with the part of you that wants the change and the part that keeps protecting the old behavior, and getting them to agree on terms.

The part chasing rescue and the part counting the cost are brought into one conversation.

Arrow Technique

A direct, layer-by-layer descent from the surface complaint to the original decision underneath it.

We trace the urge down to the specific relief being sought — usually not money.

Reframing

Changing the meaning attached to an event or urge so the same facts stop producing the same reaction.

The near-miss is reframed so it stops reading to your nervous system as progress.

Future Pacing

Rehearsing the new response in the exact situations where the old one used to run.

Payday, the app icon, the drive past the casino: each is rehearsed with a different ending.

Common Questions

Can hypnotherapy help if I have debts?

It can help the behavior stop. Debt itself needs a financial plan, and we will encourage you to get one in parallel.

How soon can I be seen?

Sessions are online over Zoom in 30-minute increments between 8 AM and 8 PM Pacific Time, usually within the same week.
