Parts Therapy
A structured conversation in trance with the specific part of you that carries the symptom, so it can update what it is doing.
The part managing tension is engaged directly and given a substitute it agrees to.
Hypnotherapy support for trichotillomania and hair pulling, alongside clinical care.
Hair pulling usually begins as tension release and becomes self-sustaining, with a distinct build-up, act and relief cycle. The relief is real, which is why the behavior is persistent.
We work on the build-up phase, where change is most available, and on the shame that follows and quietly maintains it.

Attaching a calm, resourceful state to a physical cue you can use in the moment you need it.
The build-up sensation becomes the trigger for a competing, settling response.
Changing the meaning attached to an event or urge so the same facts stop producing the same reaction.
Self-attack after an episode is removed from the cycle so it stops fuelling the next one.
